Youth Learn to Play Hockey
Ages 3-4 Level 1:
Tuesday & Thursday
5:00 to 5:30 PM
Cost: $185 for 12 weeks
With our youngest age group, the emphasis is on skating and balance. Sticks will be introduced once balance is mastered. Participants will learn all the basics of hockey skating, stick-handling and shooting in a fun atmosphere.
Ages 5-6 Level 2:
Tuesday & Thursday
5:00 to 6:00 PM
Cost: $260 for 12 weeks
Participants in Level 2 must have taken a full semester of LTP prior to registering for class and have approval from the Hockey Director. This class empahsizes the basics of hockey skating and stick-handling but allows for a full hour of ice time twice a week.
Ages 7-10 and Ages 11-17:
Tuesday & Thursday
5:00 to 6:00 PM
Cost: $260 for 12 weeks
Our Learn to Play hockey program is designed to teach the fundamentals of hockey to beginning players. Each week builds off the previous week's lesson and introduces a new hockey skill for the players to learn. Power skating, balance, and edge control are the primary focal points and will be practiced each week. Other skills taught include puck control, passing, shooting and preliminary game sense.

Adult Learn to Play Hockey
Div 3 - 4 and New Hockey Players:
Cost: $115 for 8 weeks or $20 Drop In
Lef by the Sportsplex coaching staff, this class will focus on the funamentals of hockey including forward and backward skating, passing, shooting, and game sense. Each class will begin with a warm-up and review of the fundamental power skating techniques followed by full ice puck handling and skating drills. Sessions will end with small area games designed to make players think and react intuitively.
